Piede Grande is a handmade terracotta vase stand, 14 cm high in all. The terracotta cube designed to support the weight of the vase ends frontally with a refined lion's paw, a symbol of strength according to classical and Renaissance iconography. For round-based vases we recommend the use of 3 feet suitably distributed on the circumference while square-based vases need one foot per corner. The feet lift the vase from the humidity of the ground and, at the same time, favour the runoff of excess water through the hole at the base of the vase. Due to its size, Big Foot is suitable for medium to large pots.

1. Dimensioni e Colorazioni
Eventuali variazioni cromatiche e dimensionali sono dovute alla lavorazione artigianale ed alla materia prima utilizzata per i nostri manufatti.
Ogni imperfezione non è da considerarsi un difetto, ma un pregio che rende prodotto unico.

2. Foro drenaggio
É fondamentale che ogni vaso (vuoto o che ospiti una pianta) abbia un buon drenaggio dell’acqua:l’acqua ristagnate potrebbe congelare alle basse temperature e provocare rotture.
Per evitare questo spiacevole inconveniente è fondamentale provvedere a mantenere libero il foro di drenaggio dell’acqua.
É inoltre opportuno che il vaso non poggi direttamente sul suolo, ma venga leggermente rialzato per evitare che un terreno argilloso possa otturare dall’esterno il foro di uscita dell’acqua.

Prestando attenzione a non ostruire il/i fori di drenaggio si consiglia di procedere per strati:

_Pietrisco bianco 18-25 mm (sul fondo del vaso)
_Argilla espansa (Sovrastante al pietrisco)
_Terriccio (Sopra all'argilla espansa)
